My Favorites Books of All Time

gm world war seriesFrom time to time, various titles of books published. Of all that is what we read, even our collection. Of all the collection is that we reread. So what book I still reread?

By: Mochamad Yusuf*

Since we can already read, may have tens, hundreds or even thousands of books we read. Partly because we read it we must read the textbook. Most of us borrow from the library or a friend.

There is another book that we buy and collections. Of all that, there is a chance we read but one could not read. Even still in plastic wrap (like me, hehehe).

From among our collection of books (have), some have read more. Even still read again and again. Is there a book like this for you? I’ve got. And this is a book that I liked all time. Since I still I read over and over again without getting bored.

1. Mengarang Itu Gampang.
Arwendo Atmowiloto’s book has become my favorite for a long time. Even before it became a book, simply written off as the article in Hai magazine. This book is really thin. So if you read at least an hour was over. This book either, I’ve read a few times. So often. Once even still flunky, often accompanied me to sleep. Since the book under my pillow.

This book gave me motivation to write. Write and write, do not think either is true, correct spelling right, or good or bad read. Just write it. This book is in my opinion writing a book about the best I have ever met. And Alhamdulillah, this book had signed by the author. I did admirers.

2. Riadhus Shalihin.
This book is not a modern book, but the legendary book. Imam Nawawi’s book was written a hundred years ago. This book is a study in Islamic educational institutions. I read it somewhere already several times. And still want to read it.

This book, based on the establishment of morality and Al Quran Hadith. Imam Nawawi devide in various chapters based on a theme. Each theme comes with quotation verses of Al Quran and Hadith.

3. European War and Pacific War Series
This book is a collection of writings PK Ojong, founder of the daily Kompas, in Star Weekly decades ago (before the daily Kompas published). And a few years ago, this collection made the book. For the European War series is 3 books thick. Pacific War was just 1 book.

European War Books about World War II in the European field. The book is divided into various chapters, not just talk about the chronology, but also talks about some things. It contained quite solid with various references. This is what I like, because the author so much reading, so his writing is very rich. Similarly, the Pacific war. But he seemed more interested in the European war, because the book Pacific War than just 1 book, is also much thinner than the books the European War.

I’ve read over and over, and sometimes still want to read, especially in a chapter. Interestingly, Zidan also have read though not kelar. Imagine the book about 600 pages thick, was Zidan had read half of it. The teacher was surprised to know this.

4. Untuk Apa Berpuasa?
This book is required reading when I entered the month of Ramadan. So, I read it often enough. Agus Mustofa’s book is actually quite thin, 2 hours must be completed. But I enjoy it, by reading carefully.

5. Don’t Be Sad
This book is a translation of the book is an international best seller, La Tahzan essay Aidh Al Qarni. But I have is from Maghfirah publisher. There are now at the bookstore, this issue seems not. Because of this publisher seems to have a license to translate. When I want to buy, because there was confusion as 2 books by different publishers, I came to compare the translation page per page. Finally I decided to buy the Maghfirah publication, because the translation more better.

This book like shoulder to cry on to me, if I again do not be sad, not excited, or distress. Reading this book could almost remove existing tears. So after reading this book to be excited. So I quite often read this book. Hopefully the author got a reward for all time that useful science.

Of the 5 books I read are still frequent, the book is still Riadhus Shalihin I put on my desk that is easy to take at any time. The others had put into my library, so it must seek first to read it.

Are you also have a favorite book and still read? [TSA, 16/1/2010 at dawn]
